Tsum Valley Trek

Tsum Valley Trekking is a newly opened trekking route which takes you to one of the remote and spectacular valley. Tsum valley is surrounded by the Buddha Himal, with Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south and Sringi Himal to the north. It is one of the pilgrimage route because it is believed that great Buddhist Guru Milarepa had once meditated in the mountain caves of this valley. The landscape of this valley is dotted with Mani walls and Chortens.

The scenery of this valley is stunning with beautiful forests, countryside and the Ganesh Himal which towers above the valley. Tsum comes from the Tibetan word ‘Tsombo’, which means vivid. The local people are mostly of Tibetan origin and speak their own unique dialect. The unique and historic monasteries boast the Tsum Valley. Tsum Valley is well-preserved valley, culturally and environmentally with breathtaking beauty and big mountain views.

Day 01:  Arrive Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel (1,300m)

Day 02:  Kathmandu: Sightseeing

Day 03:  Drive Kathmandu to Arughat (600m)

Day 04:  Arughat to Soti Khola (710m): 5-6 hours

Day 05:  Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (900m): 6-7 hours

Day 06:  Maccha Khola  to Yaru Khola (1330m): 5-6 hours

Day 07:  Yaru Khola to Philim (1,590m): 6-7 hours

Day 08:  Philim to Chumling (2,363m): 7 hours

Day 09:  Chumling to Chokhangparo (3,010m): 5-6 hours

Day 10:  Chokhangparo  to Nile (3,361m) via Milarepa cave: 6-7 hours

Day 11:  Nile to Mu Gompa (3,700m): 4 hours

Day 12:  Mu Gompa, sightseeing

Day 13:  Mu Gompa to Rachen Gompa (3,240m): 5 hours

Day 14:  Rachen Gompa to Dumje (2,440m): 6-7 hours

Day 15:  Dumje to Philim (1,590m): 7-8 hours

Day 16:  Philim to Tatopani

Day 17:  Tatopani to Soti Khola (710m)

Day 18:  Soti Khola to Arughat  (600m)

Day 19:  Transfer to Kathmandu

Day 20:  Departure
